Amanda Kay Howell is new to the New York area coming here with experience in acting, singing, and dance, appearing in Musicals, Dramas, plus some film experience. Studied Acting/theater at Playhouse-in-the-Park in Mobile AL
Preveous roles include Emily Webb in Our Town, Poppy in Noises Off, & Princess #12 / Lady Mabelle / Nightingale in Once Up On a Mattress
She has also writen and directed a theatrical haunted house for the Bayou La Batre Historical Foundation as well as singing for fund raisers for it and placeing in the top 12 of Searching for a Star compatition held by the Salvation Army, Mobile Seanger Theater.
Her first adventure in the NY area took her to Sleepy Hollow, NY for the widely publicized Horseman's Hollow. She has also joined with the singers of ActorCor of NYC Jan. 2011 for their MLK Day concert!
In Feb 2011 Amanda has joined the cast of The Passion Play the Musical at The Park Performing Arts Center Union City, NJ as the famed evil queen Herodas. This was the 97th prodution if the Passion Play.
Oct 2011 Amanda again joined with the living dead in Sleepy Hollow ast the Living Statue! http://www.hudsonvalley.org/events/horsemans-hollow
Dec 2011 Amanda join the Premier Theater Company in a run of her favorite Scrooge the Musical as a member of the Ensemble at the Paramount Theater in Asbury Park NJ.
Update Jan. 2012; Amanda has returned to ActorCor for there MLK Day concert Jan 15th!
